It Was a Success
‘Taste of Disability’, our first event of the year, was a successful collaboration between the Silver Lining at UCLA and United Cerebral Palsy of LA aiming to familiarize UCLA students with the struggles of living with a disability

Awareness
The activity enlightened many students on the daily struggles caused by a disability and it was a starting point for an aware discussion amongst themselves

Signs for Humanities
Austin Vaday’s personal narrative on how he started his ASL tutoring program inspired many students to learn this essential language.

Testing
The audience was given the chance to get in the shoes of disabled people for an hour through the use of wheelchairs, noise-canceling earplugs, and eye-masks, and proceeded to have dinner, socialize and play board games in groups
